The headquarters of the Congress Center is the Seventeenth Century Palazzo Confalonieri, in Milan's historic and hyper-active center, which gravitates around the financial business. The building is very close to Teatro alla Scala and Duomo, and close between Via Manzoni and Via Monte di Pieta, one of the arteries devoted to fashion. Palazzo Confalonieri occupies an area rich in history and was constructed in the '600, when it became the residence of Confalonieri, one of the most noble families in Milan.
The Fondazione Cariplo has always given attention to art and culture, a sensibility that has led to finance initiatives and projects - the restoration of Palazzo Reale and Triennale di Milano - but also the acquisition of works of art, such as paintings, sculptures, archaeological items and oriental art that create a collection of great interest and value. A substantial part of this collection is now in the Congress Center such as Luca Giordano, Giacomo Manzù.
The imposing Auditorium is enriched by the bronze high-relief "Family Saving" by Giacomo Manzù, commissioned by The President of a major Italian Bank in 1970. The artwork represents the family united in peace, love, work and savings.
The Congress Venue is very well connected to the city centre, railway stations and airports
